We are here to talk about the unique and incredible life Jesus has planned for each person who follows Him.

Don't come expecting to go through rituals, because that is not what we are focused on. In fact, we believe the people of Cloudbreak will change your perceptions of what a church is all about.

Our goals are to do more than just talk about God. We want to introduce you to Jesus Christ in a safe atmosphere where you can find rest for your soul that your whole family will enjoy.

Our Story


In 2001, while working in the apparel business and living in Latin America, God called Pastor Jeff and Shelly Langley into ministry. They had no ministry background, but Jesus unleashed the dream in their hearts to start Cloudbreak Church.

Jeff and Shelly moved to Fort Worth, Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jeff was also blessed to serve as the Outreach and Discipleship Pastor at nearby Ridgecrest Baptist church in Greenville, Texas while at seminary.

Upon graduation, Jeff and Shelly felt that God was guiding them to return to Jeff's hometown. They moved back to San Diego in 2005 and began Cloudbreak in 4s Ranch. Pastor Jeff named the church after an amazing surf break in Fiji called Cloudbreak. Needless to say, Jeff is an avid surfer.

We have been meeting at Stone Ranch Elementary since 2005 and many of the same families who attended our first services are still faithfully serving at Cloudbreak. Our vision is to be a community church in 4S Ranch that loves Jesus, values His Word in the Bible, and whole heartedly welcomes new people to join in the fun.

We strive to bring diverse families, singles and couples together in a warm environment so that our lives will be transformed by God.

Our focus is on becoming a church that is valued by all of 4S Ranch as we serve both the local community and people from all over the world through the love that Jesus first showed us.
